Pavlik Vs Taylor Fight Ticket
Fallen World Boxing Council middleweight champion Jermain Taylor is in the mood to fight back for his title and his reputation as the top fighter in this division, and has already challenged his contender Kelly Pavlik for a rematch to prove that he is still "Unbeatable".
What resulted in this rematch challenge was a gripping World Boxing Council middleweight title showdown at the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City on September 29, 2007.

With the clash of the Titans that day, Jermain Taylor, 29, lost his WBC and WBO belts to Kelly Pavlik, when he could no longer defend against the striking seventh-round knockdown despite having stumped the 25-year-old to the floor in the second round.
Taylor holds a strong record of 27-0-1 with 17 knockouts but has recently drawn a share of criticism to his name for the boxing style with which he has been fighting to defend his title in the past matches with his contenders Cory Spinks and Kassim Ouma.
And even after receiving criticism from critics over his boxing style, Taylor was expecting to win and retain his WBC title and World Boxing Organization belt without putting in as much effort as required.
But now he seems to know what went wrong. Taylor had made a statement saying that his last two outings had in fact enhanced his boxing and fighting skills. He also said that he was fully prepared to remind the world that he is the real middleweight champion of the world.

Taylor said "I learned a lot in those fights,". He also said that he felt those were two of the nasty looking fights, but was of the opinion that "Fighting southpaws has helped me see punches coming a lot better."
Taylor told the media to write all they want for him but do not forget to mention that "He's undefeated."
Pavlik on the other hand was all ready to take Taylor down again. In
Taylor vs. Pavlik I, Pavlik survived the second round knockout and regained his self-control to smash Jermain Taylor's defense. Pavlik showed Taylor his first defeat in his 28-fight career. Pavlik on the other hand has now moved on to be the new champion at 32-0.

Taylor wanted to activate the rematch clause in his fight contract immediately after their first fight. Taylor said "I definitely want a rematch. He's a great fighter and I'll be glad to fight him again."
Taylor has now exercised the rematch clause between him and Pavlik in his contract and Taylor's promoter, Lou DiBella, said that the rematch was likely be at 166 pounds, instead of the normal 160 pounds at middleweight limit.
