Olympic Movements
Although for spectators all around the world, the Olympic Games are simply a thrilling and exciting sporting event to watch, it takes hundreds if not thousands of people from around the world to make it all happen. The IOC (International Olympic Committee) is the oldest and perhaps most respected Olympic Committee ever created and they have been created to stand by and protect the many Olympic traditions and rules throughout the test of time. This committee includes over 206 members who are all based in Switzerland, the main conference center for all Olympic related meetings and votes. The obvious goal of the IOC is to promote and market the Olympic Games to spectators and athletes from around the world to make sure that the traditional message of the Olympics has not been lost over time and countries continue to be proud to include their best athletes in this ancient tradition. Their most recent goals and strategies include maintaining and promoting healthy athletes and always discouraging the use of illegal drugs when it comes to muscle building or even weight loss. They continue to promote the ethics and morals of the Olympic Games to prevent any misrepresentation that may occur through one athlete trying to cheat the system.
